That was a pretty epic way to celebrate a 20 year anniversary! Twenty years ago we loaded into North Six in Brooklyn and played the first ever THS show, opening for our friend Steve Koester. Saturday, January 28, 2023 we showed up at the same building (now Music Hall of Williamsburg) and did it again, 20 years later. A lot has changed, and we’ve picked up some band mates along the way. This time we even had Koester in the opening slot with Two Dark Birds. Some things remain the same, though, and we were psyched to dust off some early Almost Killed Me era rarities in the setlist: Milkcrate Mosh, Sketchy Metal and (extremely rare) Curves & Nerves. In fact, we’re not sure we ever made it through Curves without incident before that show. Lots of friendly faces in the crowd, old and new, and just a fantastic way to celebrate this milestone.
